Our aim is to discuss issues related to the business of system integration and development. We will no doubt focus on Service Orientated Architecture and the Oracle Fusion; BPEL, BEA Weblogic and AquaLogic products but do expect us to write about all our experiences with competitive vendor and open source products.

We will have three regulars contributing to the blog; two of our leading technical architects giving their views and ideas on technical issues; and a more business orientated contributor; me.  I am sure we will have celebrities from the Estafet consultant team wanting to give their views so I expect and encourage special contributions every now and then.

Finding a place to start is always tricky. Let’s kick off with a recent discussion on integration projects versus development projects. Why run them differently or do you think you can apply the same approach and expect them to both succeed. At some point let’s also talk about off shore development of the integration project and the development project.
